DIY Folding Knife Kits for Pocket Knife Builders
Shop DIY folding knife kits with locking liner, frame lock, lockback, button lock, slipjoint, mid-lock and bearing flipper actions, plus an assisted opening tanto kit and a USA Damascus straight razor kit. Steel blades include 440C, AUS-8 and 71-layer stainless Damascus, and two wooden kits make a hands-on folding project for kids and scout groups.
Among the locking liner builds, the GL66 is rated Skill Level I-II, the GPC-1000 is rated Skill Level II-IV, and the DDR3-RC comes with a tactical grind blade and a recurve blade. The FL005, FL006, FLX25, Stinger and Bull Shark are frame lock kits, and the Bobcat, Sheriff and Ranger lockbacks carry blades from 2.625 to 2.875 inches. Bearing flipper builders can pick the Panther, Cheetah, Puma, M63 or STX10, which is 10 inches overall. The DDR3-BL and Super Squirt kits use a button lock.
Hardwood combos include Bubinga, Curly Maple, Lacewood, Wenge and Zebrawood. The M63, STX10, GL66 and Super Squirt kits offer Black G10 or carbon fiber, and the STX10 and GL66 add Abalone Pearl. On the Sheriff, Ranger, EV4N1 and DDR3-RC, the pre-machined wood scales come oversized and undrilled, leaving the shaping and the pin or fastener layout to the maker. Several kits also come as a base kit for builders who supply their own handle material. The Pony mid-lock has carbon fiber scales already bonded to its liners and needs light sanding.
Several kits assemble with T6 and T8 TORX drivers, which are included with the Panther, Cheetah and Puma, while the GL66 calls for T7 and T9. The AO-001, Lady Slipper, GL66 and Super Squirt 3.0 arrive in a gift box. Fixed blade and axe kits are listed in knife making kits and blades, and questions about tools or handle fit can go through our contact page.
