Built around a durable 440C stainless steel blade that has been heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of RC 56-58, the GL66 offers excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and dependable cutting performance. The fully stainless steel frame features precision-machined liners, stainless steel bolsters, a closed spacer backspine, and a smooth locking liner mechanism that provides secure blade lockup and reliable operation.
Designed as an outstanding introduction to folding knife building, the GL66 carries a Skill Rating of Level I-II, making it approachable for beginners while still offering plenty of opportunities for experienced makers to personalize their build. The closed spacer backspine, liners, and bolsters provide an ideal canvas for filework, engraving, anodizing, and other artistic embellishments.
