Shop CURV®, a self-reinforced, 100% thermoplastic composite most commonly used for flat components in holster making. Choose Black, Coyote Brown or Ranger Green in 8in x 12in, 1ft x 1ft, 1ft x 2ft or 2ft x 4ft sheets that you can mill, laser or waterjet cut.
CURV® is made of heat-compacted woven polymer fibers and needs no added support structure to keep its strength and impact resistance. Its high stiffness and low density give real weight savings over traditional plastics and composites, and it is pure thermoplastic with no glass fiber, so it is easy to recycle.
Most makers cut CURV® into flat components on a mill, laser or waterjet. It can be pressure-thermoformed into complex shapes, but it does not thermoform like KYDEX® at the same temperature ranges, so if you have not formed CURV® before, contact us for thermoforming information and procedures.
CURV® keeps its impact and crack resistance at freezing temperatures, and it is chemically inert and impervious to most solvents and cleaning agents. Our materials for sheaths and holsters page lists the KYDEX®, HOLSTEX® and BOLTARON® forming sheet we carry.
