Screw Posts for Knife Sheaths and Holsters
Shop screw posts for KYDEX® holsters, leather sheaths and custom gear, each threaded to take a matching 8-32 or 4-40 screw at a mounting point. Slotted, T, pass-thru and double binding posts come in lengths from 0.125 to 0.500 inch, and black oxide Chicago screw posts are sold in a 10-pack.
Slotted heads on most of these posts take a flathead driver, so they tighten during a build and back out easily for adjustments. In 8-32 thread, pick from five black oxide steel lengths between 0.125 and 0.500 inch, three in black zinc stainless steel, or a 0.500 inch gunmetal steel post. A 0.250 inch slotted post covers 4-40 screws in black oxide or gunmetal, and the gunmetal version suits tight or lightweight setups. Another black oxide 8-32 slotted post is sized to an MRD (Mag Retention Device) hole for mounting MRD sheath and holster attachments.
The Double Binding Post, in 0.125 or 0.250 inch, holds an attachment still while you tighten it, using two posts that fit a mount with a matching center-to-center hole pattern. The low-profile T post, in 0.1875 or 0.250 inch, fits where clearance is limited, and the stainless pass-thru post helps hold assembly tension through a built-in clutch beneath its head. Like the slotted posts, both can be fitted in reverse for added retention. Where a build uses standard 1/4 inch (#8) eyelets, the black oxide Chicago screw post slips its 0.203 inch barrel through the eyelet.
Match the post length to the material stack or gap at your mounting point, going shorter for thin material and longer for a thicker stack. Pick up the screw for each post, plus any eyelets or washers, from our holster and sheath hardware collection. If more than one post style could work, our team can talk through which fits your mount.
