These are the parts that we’ll be using for this kit project.



Before starting, I soaked the scales in wood hardener.
This is optional.



Insert the brass screws thru the liners into the wood scales.



Shape the scales to match the two bolsters and edges of the liners.



Assemble the rear pin, and then lightly compress the handle as shown to tap the center pin into place.
Lastly, remove the handle from the vise, insert the blade, push up on the blade and insert the pivot pin.



Saw off excess pin lengths to make the pins about one pin diameter longer than the width of the bolsters.





Carefully peen the pins over, turning the handle over and over. Check the blade fit
carefully as you peen. Do not peen the center pin.



Sand and polish the handle. A coat of paste wax will be helpful.
