Molding Presses and Foam for Sheaths and Holsters
Shop the steel bench, taco and VacuForge™ vacuum presses that mold knife sheaths and gun holsters, along with CKK Series foam that brings out crisp detail in the heated sheet. Replacement membranes, heat-sink boards, a gauge and lid hardware keep a VacuForge™ in service, and a Diez Design jig takes care of belt loops.
For foam pressing, the CKK Design steel bench models come in 8 x 12 or 8 x 24 inch sizes, built from 1/4 inch powder-coated steel plate with footer holes for mounting. They form flat-faced or full wraparound sheaths and holsters, and the top plate comes off for quick height adjustments. The wood or steel Taco Model handles fold-over taco designs like a book press, its two wings held by an optional 12 inch bench-style clamp so you can walk away while the piece cools.
A VacuForge™ press works by vacuum, connecting to the pump you already have and molding the heated sheet to the wrapped item beneath a heavy-duty membrane. The 12 x 12 model weighs 17 lbs, the XL 16 x 24 weighs 44 lbs, and each ships with a spare membrane. Membranes and heat-sink boards are consumables, so each size has custom-fit replacements. The 1.50 inch gauge, 20-piece lid hardware kit and hose fittings fit both presses. Silicone membrane 49 inches wide is also sold by the linear foot for your own press.
CKK Series foams by HOLSTEX® step up in molding detail from Maxx Form, the everyday standard, to Mega Form and then Xtreme Form. The Diez Design Belt Loop Forming Jig turns scrap 12-inch pieces of sheet into loops for belts up to 2.0 inches wide. Once a piece is molded, our holster making tools cover drilling, eyelet setting and edge finishing. Ask us to pair a press with a foam grade for the sheaths or holsters you mold most.
