Eyelet and Snap Setting Tools for Sheaths and Holsters
Shop the setters, dies and flaring press that roll eyelets, seat snaps and compress double cap rivets when a sheath or holster is ready for its hardware. Tools range from compact Basic setters struck with a hammer to Journeyman dies with an optional stainless guide and a 22 lb Master Series press for Master dies and snap setters.
In the Basic Series, the eyelet setter and the economy double cap rivet setter each pair a heat-treated stainless steel base with a ram, so you seat the eyelet, or the male and female rivet caps, in the base cup and tap the ram with a hammer. The Basic snap setter adds an anvil and a non-slip textured shaft for a firm grip, in Line 20 for 5 to 7 oz leather or Line 24 for heavier 8 to 10 oz leather.
Journeyman Series eyelet dies are milled from stainless steel in #6 (3/16 inch) and #8 (1/4 inch) sizes, and each male and female pair rolls the unflared side of the eyelet under a small hammer. A USA made stainless die guide keeps the dies aligned for hands-free setting, and that same guide fits the Journeyman Line 20 snap setter and every other Journeyman tool. For daily shop use, Master Series hardened stainless dies and USA made Master snap setters mount in our 22 lb press, whose free-floating bottom plate self-aligns for proper eyelet flaring.
Torn between hand setting and a press? Our team can help you choose a series, and the holster making tools page lists the presses, foam and drills to pair with these setters.
