Thumbstuds and Inlay Stones for Folding Knives
Shop single and dual thumbstuds for folding knives in stainless steel, titanium and steel, along with faceted and cabochon inlay stones sized 2mm through 6mm. Set a stone or mosaic pinstock in a Tulip, Unicab or bezel-set stud, or use the stones for push button and handle inlays on your next knife.
The stainless CKK Classic suits blades up to 0.130 inches thick and installs in a 0.120-inch hole, while the CKK Turbine has lateral hatching for a surer grip. Both DR EZ-Thumber versions are steel with 6-32 threads, and the dual model and the DDR Designed CPU stud can double as a blade stop against the frame or bolster. Heretic dual studs in 17-4 H900 stainless or 6AL4V titanium use 4-40 threads and take a T15 Torx bit. Steve Kelly Models 1, 3 and 4 are titanium studs you can heat-color, and the Model 1 includes its 2-56 screw while Models 3 and 4 come as the stud alone.
Inlay studs have a bezel channel, so the stone or insert can be glued, bezel-set or both. The Tulip Cab comes in 2mm and 6mm, the Unicab in 2mm and 3mm, and the Tulip Inlay takes 7/32-inch mosaic pinstock. Ruby, blue topaz, diamond and white spinel are faceted synthetic stones, citrine and marcasite are faceted natural stones, and turquoise, malachite and tiger eye are among the natural cabochons. Single stones come as 1-packs, and the 6mm round amethyst cabochons come paired in a 2-pack. For automatic knives, this page also lists a large black DLC actuator spring that seats under the push button.
Measure blade thickness and check the hole size a stud calls for before drilling. Mosaic pinstock for the Tulip Inlay, plus pivots and screws, is in the knife hardware section, and you can ask us when a stud and stone pairing needs a second look.
