Protecto-Mesh™ Protective Sleeves for Knives
Shop Protecto-Mesh™ protective sleeves, a stretchy orange polyethylene mesh in Small, Medium and Large that you cut to length and slide over a knife for storage. Once cut, the sleeve grips the knife closely and helps limit damage from movement, accidental drops and wear from a pouch liner.
Order a quantity of 1 for each foot of Protecto-Mesh™ you need, then trim it to the length of the knife. The Small size is listed at 3/8 inch at rest and expands to 5/8 inch or more, and the mesh stretches about 30 to 40 percent beyond its recommended size for a close fit. Pull it much further and the openings widen, which can lower protection and make the knife harder to slide back out.
On an automatic knife, a fitted sleeve helps hold the blade closed, adding a layer of safety while the knife sits in long-term storage. Shop tools can be wrapped in the same mesh to keep them safe around the workshop.
