Knife Making Training Books and Instructional DVDs
Shop knife making training materials, from printed books on folding knife mechanisms and firearms to DVD lessons on kit assembly, handle wrapping and automatic knife conversion. The collection holds seven titles in all, three books and four instructional DVDs.
Our Books section pairs one knife title with two firearm references. Knife Mechanisms Volume Two by LeRoi Price looks at how folding knives lock and open, while the Gun Digest® guides from Peterson and Sigler deal with collectible assault rifles and the pistols, rifles and shotguns that manufacturers were producing in 2009.
Four DVD lessons fill our Videos section. Darrel Ralph puts the Delta 5 fixed blade together from its kit, Phil Hine shows two paracord handle wraps, Kirby Lambert demonstrates Japanese cord wrapping, and Jonathan Musick hosts a lesson on turning a button lock knife into an automatic. The kit build and both wrap lessons run about an hour apiece, and the conversion DVD runs about 40 minutes.
Our staff also takes general knife making questions. Ask about a technique or any of these titles through the contact page.
