Heat Treating Foil for Hardening Knife Blades
Shop Ticronic® heat treating foil, rated for temperatures up to 2000°F, that keeps knife blades nearly scale-free through hardening. It is made to protect blades of air-hardened tool steel and damascus steel, and it comes in a 20 inch width.
At .002 inches thick, the heat-resistant foil is lightweight yet durable. It is sold by the foot, so you can order a short length for a single blade or enough for a whole batch you plan to harden at once.
