At the heart of the Ranger is a 2.875 inch flat ground blade crafted from premium 440C stainless steel. The blade is heat-treated to RC 56–58 and cryogenically treated to increase toughness and improve edge retention, providing long-lasting cutting performance. A satin finish gives the blade a clean, professional appearance that looks equally at home in the workshop, the field, or your pocket.
Every Combo Kit includes a complete Ranger Lockback knife kit along with a pair of pre-machined hardwood handle scales. The scales are available in several beautiful wood species, each offering its own distinctive grain, color, and personality. Because the scales are intentionally left slightly oversized and undrilled, you have complete control over shaping, sanding, finishing, and pin placement, allowing you to create a truly one-of-a-kind folding knife.
The knife is built using stainless steel bolsters, liners, pins, pivot, and lock bar/backspine for excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability. Shim stock is included to help fine-tune blade action and lock fit during assembly.
