Knife Handle Washers and Spacers for Stacked Handles
Shop leather handle washers and accent spacers for building stacked handles on hidden tang knives. Washers come in cowhide or water buffalo leather from a 1-pack to a 140-pack, and spacers in buffalo horn, hardwood, Damagrip™, or copper come as a 1-pack, with most also offered as a 10-pack.
Oval cowhide washers are offered in seven colors, from Black and Chocolate to London Tan and Natural, in pack sizes up to a 100-pack, with color variety packs as well. The Round and Round with Slot cowhide washers share those seven colors and are sold as a 1-pack or 20-pack. Water buffalo leather washers are oval with a 0.40 x 0.120 inch tang slot and have seven colors of their own, including Antique Chocolate and Crazy Horse Gray, with variety packs of 70 or 140 washers. Slide the washers over the tang, compress the stack into a solid blank, then shape and sand the grip.
Spacers add a contrasting line between guard, handle, and pommel. Buffalo horn spacers are polished and offered in Wine Red, Honey Brown, or Black, and color and grain vary from piece to piece. Hardwood spacers span a dozen species, among them Bloodwood, Padauk, Wenge, and Zebrawood, each 1.50 inches across and 0.25 inch thick, and the dark green and yellow Damagrip™ spacers share that size. Both come undrilled, so you place the tang opening yourself. A round 1.50-inch copper spacer completes the lineup as a 1-pack.
