Dress Kukri (KKBLDKUKRI)
----------------------------------
Tools Used
Drill press
No.40 (.098) and no.21 (.159) drills
Sandpaper
Denatured alcohol
2-part epoxy
(Belt sander, if available)
----------------------------------

These are the parts that we’ll be working with for this project. First, draw a line around the profile on the handle
scales, then saw out roughly and sand the angle smooth that will fit against the guard.
Clamp the scale to the shank and drill a no.21 (.159) hole thru both holes. Place a pin in the first hole to prevent shifting.
Place another pin it its hole and drill thru the remaining 2 holes using a #40 (.098) drill. Repeat these
steps for the opposite side scale.
Remove the guard and assemble the handle.
Shape and sand the handle with the guard removed.
Mix 2-part epoxy and coat all surfaces.
Clamp securely. Be sure to remove excess epoxy with a paper towel soaked in denatured alcohol. Recheck after 30 minutes have passed to be sure the epoxy hasn’t squeezed out the front of the guard. Let the epoxy cure.
Finish sand the handle and polish.
