Corby, Gulso, and hidden bolts are two-piece threaded fasteners. A stepped hole is drilled through the scales, the threaded post passes through the tang, and tightening the two halves clamps the scales between the oversized heads. Stainless and brass Corby bolts range from a .156in to a .312in head for builds from compact folders to large fixed blades, and aluminum Corby bolts have a .312in head. Gulso bolts in brass, stainless steel, or titanium have a .250in or .375in head and can be left exposed as a decorative accent, while Corby and hidden bolts sand flush to a smooth, pin-like look.

Loveless fasteners are three-piece sets of one threaded screw and two threaded heads, with a .250in head on a 6-32 thread or a .312in head on an 8-32 thread, both 1.15in long. Sanded flush after the screw head is removed, they show the bull's-eye look of a design popularized by Bob Loveless. Six material combinations are offered, including mixed sets like nickel silver/brass for contrast. Acorn nut fasteners, also called Luke rivets, join a threaded post with two threaded heads in a 4-40 or 8-32 thread. Cutlery handle rivets in brass or nickel silver press together with a hammer on a solid anvil, handy for restoring an older knife.

Epoxy can go in with any of these fasteners, and the threaded styles also take thread-locking adhesive. Pins and bushings for the same handle are in our knife hardware section, and our support team can help match a fastener length to your scale thickness.
