Hybrid and Chest Carry Holster Backers
Shop holster backers for two kinds of builds, hybrid holsters with a shell on the front and chest carry rigs that need a mounting base. Choose from the MatchPoint USA EDC Backer in Comfortuff 420, an undrilled cowhide leather backer in black or brown, and a multi-mount chest carry backer in Tegris®, CURV® or leather.
Two of these three backers are designed for hybrid holsters. A KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, or BOLTARON® shell mounts to the front of MatchPoint USA's EDC Backer, whose mesh grid leaves the carry angle up to you. The EDC Backer's two models share a Comfortuff 420 body that resists sweat and odor, lets air through, feels soft and goes in the dishwasher for cleaning. The CKK-designed cowhide backer is cut from 8-9 oz leather with an integrated sweat guard, thick enough for durability and flexible enough for comfort. It ships undrilled in two sizes for small to medium firearms, with separate versions for right-hand and left-hand carry.
The third backer, from CKK Industries, gives you a multi-mount platform for assembling a chest carry rig. More than 280 precision-cut holes, each 0.225 inches in diameter to fit most standard holster hardware posts, let you fine-tune the holster's cant and move the straps until the fit is secure and comfortable. This USA-made backer is rigid, durable and light, and its black Tegris® version is a rugged 12-layer build.
