Built around a 3.00 inch hollow-ground AUS8 stainless steel blade, the Western Skinner is heat treated and cryo-treated to achieve a hardness of 56-58 RC. The blade's compact profile, 1.25 inch width, and 0.145 inch thickness make it an excellent choice for skinning, hunting, utility work, and everyday carry applications. The blade is complemented by semi-radiused 416 stainless steel bolsters that provide both visual appeal and structural strength.
The tang design offers exceptional flexibility for custom builders. Three standard pin holes accommodate traditional handle construction, while two additional 0.250 inch holes allow the use of mosaic pins, Corby bolts, Loveless bolts, or other mechanical fasteners. A pre-drilled thong hole provides additional carry and lanyard options.
Available as a blade blank combo kit or with a selection of premium hardwood handle scales, the Western Skinner provides builders with numerous customization possibilities.
