Vibra-Tite® VC-3 Threadmate is a unique flexible threadlocking compound designed for applications where secure fastener retention and future adjustability are both important. Unlike traditional threadlockers that cure into a rigid bond, VC-3 uses a resilient resin-based formula that remains pliable after drying, allowing fasteners to be removed, adjusted, and reused multiple times.
Available in multiple sizes, Vibra-Tite® VC-3 creates a durable vibration-resistant coating that helps prevent screws and bolts from loosening while protecting threads from galling, stripping, and corrosion. This makes it an excellent choice for knife makers, sheath builders, holster craftsmen, gunsmiths, and precision fabricators working on assemblies that may require future service or fine-tuning.
VC-3 is ideal for securing knife hardware, pivots, set screws, mounting hardware, and other threaded components where permanent locking is not desired. The flexible coating withstands temperature changes, resists most solvents, and provides moderate engagement torque while still allowing removal with standard hand tools. Fasteners treated with VC-3 can typically be reused up to five times without damaging threads.
