Its streamlined profile and manageable size make it an excellent project for both first-time knife makers and experienced craftsmen looking to create a personalized Damascus blade.
Each Vegas Boot features a hollow-ground blade forged from premium USA-made Damascus steel consisting of 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15n20 high-carbon steels. The billet is folded five times to create a striking 416-layer Damascus pattern that delivers exceptional visual appeal along with excellent durability and edge retention. Heat treated to 56-58 RC, the blade is ready for finishing, handle installation, and customization.
The full tang design provides strength and stability while offering a solid foundation for custom handle construction. Two 0.156 inch tang holes are provided for handle attachment, and stainless steel pinstock is included with every kit. The tang holes can easily be modified to accommodate larger pins, mosaic pins, Corby bolts, Loveless bolts, or other custom fasteners.
Available configurations include a blade blank and pinstock only option, as well as complete DIY kits featuring premium hardwood handle scales. Handle scale options include Bubinga, Canarywood, Curly Maple, Lacewood, Mahogany, Purpleheart, Walnut, and Yellowheart. Each wood scale set measures approximately 5.0 inches x 1.5 inches x 0.25 inches, providing ample material for shaping a truly custom handle.
