Knife Kit Building and Cord Wrapping DVD Videos
Shop DVD instructional videos that take you step by step through Darrel Ralph's Delta 5 fixed blade kit build and Phil Hine's paracord lesson on Shoe String and Twist wrapping. The other two discs feature Jonathan Musick on coil spring automatic conversion and Kirby Lambert on traditional Japanese cord wrapping.
On the Fixed Blade Kit Building Basics DVD, custom knife designer Darrel Ralph assembles the Delta 5, a fixed blade kit with dual bolsters, and shows how hidden bolt handle pins give a clean, tight result. The same basic skills carry over to nearly any fixed blade kit. Phil Hine's Paracord Wrap Basics teaches two wrap styles, the "Shoe String" and the "Twist," for knife handles, survival gear and custom projects. Both discs run about 60 minutes.
Professional custom knife maker Kirby Lambert walks through Japanese cord wrapping in a full-color video of about 60 minutes, with wraps that improve both the grip and the look of a knife handle. The Automatic Knife Conversion DVD with Jonathan Musick runs about 40 minutes. The lesson covers how to measure an existing button lock knife and its blade to work out the correct spring size, then convert the manual knife into a coil spring-fired automatic. It also goes over upgrades to the spring, button and action, plus tips on tuning the automatic for smooth, reliable one-hand opening.
All four discs are also grouped under knife making videos in the training section. Have a question about one of these discs? Send it our way.
