The Ulu Axe Kit Series delivers a compact, curved blade platform designed to be shaped into something personal, functional, and completely individual. Centered around a sweeping 5.31" cutting edge and a 3.00" depth profile, the Ulu provides a distinctive foundation suited for field tools, specialty cutters, or display-worthy custom builds.

 

Offered in both USA-made Damascus and high carbon 1075 steel, each variation shares the same proven geometry and consistent layout. This allows you to focus on the creative and technical aspects of the build while selecting the steel that best matches your intended outcome—whether that’s rugged performance, visual impact, or a balance of both.

 

Each blank includes two 0.250" tang holes with stainless steel pinstock for secure handle attachment, along with a heat-treated, edge-ready foundation designed for shaping, finishing, and full customization. The platform supports a wide range of handle styles and materials, from traditional hardwoods to high-contrast exotic options.

 

For more complete kits, select configurations include premium handle blocks in Black Limba or Bloodwood, providing a streamlined path from raw components to finished piece without limiting creative control.
