The Scouts Bowie Knife Kit Series combines classic bowie styling with a compact, practical size that is perfect for everyday carry, collection pieces, or custom knife making projects. Featuring a hidden tang construction and an aggressive trailing point profile with a false edge, the Scouts Bowie delivers the unmistakable look of a traditional bowie knife in a versatile 7.75-inch package.
Each Scouts Bowie blade is manufactured from premium 440C stainless steel and heat treated to RC 56-58 for excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance. The 3.75-inch hollow ground blade is satin finished and measures 0.125 inches thick, providing a balance of cutting performance and durability.
The hidden tang is threaded for 10-32 tang nuts or pommels, giving knife makers flexibility when designing and securing custom handles. An integrated 0.140 inch tang hole allows for additional pin retention, and stainless steel pinstock is included with every kit.
Choose the blade blank and pinstock option if you prefer to supply your own handle materials, or select one of the combo kits that include a premium wood handle block to simplify your build. Available handle material options include Black Limba and Bloodwood, allowing you to create a finished knife that reflects your personal style and craftsmanship.
