Shop thermoform tape for protecting the knife, gun or mold item during forming and for mounting foam to your molding press. Choose from 3M masking tape on a 2 inch x 60 yard roll and Fomaxx double-sided foam mounting tape on a 1 inch x 55 yard roll.

Sheath and holster makers apply the 3M masking tape directly to the knife, gun or mold item before forming. It guards the finish against scratches and scuffs, builds in spacing that makes the item easier to release from the formed KYDEX® or HOLSTEX® shell, and peels away cleanly even after heating.

On the press side, Fomaxx double-sided tape mounts thermoform pressing foam to wood, metal, composite or plastic surfaces and holds in hot or cold conditions. A non-stick backer on one side lets you position each strip before peeling it to expose the second adhesive face.

On a holster build, either roll can work alongside sight dowels, spacers or a retention plate from molding preparation. Let us know what you are forming if you want advice on taping it.
