Sight Channel Dowel Rods for Holster Molding
Shop wooden dowel rods for opening a sight channel when you mold a holster around a gun. They come in a 5-pack of rods measuring 6.0 x 0.375 inches that you cut to length for each build.
Front and rear sights need clearance in a molded holster, and a short length of dowel is a simple way to create it. Cut a rod to fit the gap between the sights, hold it in place with removable tape, and the sheet forms a channel over that space.
Since a pack holds five rods, you have stock on hand for several builds. Pair them with the retention plates, spacers and masking tape in holster molding preparation, and contact us with your gun model if you would like help sizing the sight channel.
