Bring natural beauty and timeless craftsmanship to your custom knife builds with our premium Buffalo Horn Handle Scale Sets. Crafted from naturally harvested water buffalo horn, these handle scales offer exceptional durability, outstanding workability, and one-of-a-kind organic character. Every pair displays its own unique grain, color transitions, and natural figuring, ensuring that no two finished handles are exactly alike.
This collection includes a wide variety of colors, textures, jigging patterns, and sizes to suit virtually any knife-making project. Choose from classic flat top scales for clean, modern builds, or traditional jigged patterns that provide enhanced grip and vintage appeal.
Buffalo horn is a favorite material among custom knife makers because it machines, sands, shapes, and polishes exceptionally well. It can be used alone for a classic natural appearance or combined with wood, synthetic materials, liners, spacers, or bolsters to create distinctive multi-material handle designs. The dense horn develops a rich, lustrous finish that highlights its natural depth and character.
Whether you are building a full tang hunting knife, restoring a traditional folder, crafting a custom everyday carry knife, or creating a one-of-a-kind collector's piece, these premium buffalo horn scales provide both beauty and dependable performance.
Because buffalo horn is a natural material, each set will vary slightly in color, grain, figuring, and pattern. These natural characteristics are part of what makes every finished handle unique.
