These pre-shaped scales eliminate the time-consuming process of roughing out complex handle profiles, allowing you to focus on fitting, contouring, finishing, and adding your own artistic touches.

 

Each pair is machined specifically for the DDR3 Curved Bolster Folding Knife Kit and is intentionally left slightly oversized and undrilled. The additional material provides room for precision sanding, final fitting, edge contouring, and decorative embellishments while maintaining the proper geometry required for the knife's curved bolster design. Leaving the scales undrilled gives you complete freedom to position fasteners exactly where you want them, whether you prefer standard kit screws, mosaic pins, or your own custom hardware configuration.

 

These scales are ready for final shaping and finishing using common woodworking tools. Depending on the wood species selected, they can be finished with oils, waxes, lacquers, or other protective coatings to enhance the natural grain and color while providing long-lasting durability.
