With a blade length of 3.875 inches and an overall length of 9.00 inches, the Sierra Hunter offers an excellent balance of cutting power, maneuverability, and control. The blade measures 0.93 inches wide and features a hollow-ground profile on both sides, delivering impressive cutting performance for skinning, field dressing, camp chores, and general utility work.
Each Sierra Hunter blade is manufactured in the USA using high-performance carbon steel Damascus. The blade is constructed from a carefully engineered blend of 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15N20 steels that are folded five times to create a stunning 416-layer Damascus pattern. The result is a blade that combines eye-catching appearance with excellent toughness, edge retention, and cutting performance.
Heat treated to a hardness of 56-58 RC, the Sierra Hunter is ready to perform in demanding outdoor environments while providing knife makers with a premium platform for customization. The full tang design incorporates two 0.187-inch tang holes for secure handle attachment and includes stainless steel pinstock for assembly. Builders may also enlarge the holes to accommodate larger pins or threaded fasteners if desired.
Choose the blade blank version if you prefer to supply your own handle materials, or select one of the combo kits that includes premium hardwood handle scales to simplify the build process. Available scale options include Bubinga, Canarywood, Curly Maple, Lacewood, Mahogany, Purpleheart, Walnut, and Yellowheart.
