At the heart of every Highland kit is a USA-made 416-layer carbon Damascus steel blade forged from a carefully balanced combination of 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15N20 steels. The blade is hollow ground on both sides and professionally heat treated to achieve a hardness of 56–58 RC, delivering a combination of cutting performance, toughness, and edge retention suitable for demanding outdoor use.
The Highland's 3.375-inch trailing point blade offers excellent control and precision, making it ideal for skinning, processing game, general camp tasks, and everyday carry applications. Its 0.160-inch blade thickness and 1.00-inch blade width provide a balanced feel while maintaining plenty of strength for field use. The full tang construction includes six precision-drilled handle holes and stainless steel pinstock, giving makers numerous options for custom handle attachment and design.
