Built around a dependable locking liner mechanism, every EV4N1 kit provides an excellent platform for creating an elegant gentleman's folding knife that combines everyday practicality with handcrafted character.
Every EV4N1 kit features a premium AUS-8 stainless steel blade that has been heat treated and cryogenically treated for enhanced toughness, edge retention, and durability. The 3.00 inch satin-finished blade is paired with heat-treated stainless steel liners, precision hardware, and pre-radiused bolsters to provide smooth opening, secure lockup, and exceptional fit and finish throughout the build.
The EV4N1 product family offers multiple configuration options to suit every builder. The standard parts kit allows complete freedom to select and shape your own handle material, while the combo kits include premium pre-machined hardwood handle scales. Available wood species include Bubinga, Monkey Pod, Padauk, Walnut, Wenge, and Yellowheart. The pre-machined scales are intentionally oversized and undrilled, allowing builders to sand, contour, and finish the handles while maintaining complete control over fastener placement and final appearance.
Unlike many folding knife kits, the EV4N1 does not include pre-drilled pocket clip mounting holes, preserving both sides of the knife for engraving, file work, inlays, or other artistic embellishments. Builders who prefer a tactical carry option can easily add a pocket clip during the customization process.
Designed for intermediate to advanced knife makers, the EV4N1 provides a rewarding project that produces a refined, heirloom-quality gentleman's folder suitable for everyday carry, collecting, or gifting. Complete assembly hardware is included with every kit, while T6 and T8 TORX drivers are required for assembly and are not included.
