Every DDR3-RC kit includes two pre-sharpened 440 stainless steel blades that have been heat treated and cryogenically treated to achieve a Rockwell hardness of RC 56-58. Builders receive both a tactical grind blade and a recurve blade, each equipped with removable thumb studs, allowing you to choose the blade style that best suits your finished knife. Precision-fitted satin-finished liners, pre-radiused front bolsters, and 400-series stainless steel hardware provide smooth opening, secure lockup, and years of dependable performance.
The DDR3-RC product family offers multiple build options to match your level of customization. The standard parts kit allows you to supply your own handle material, while the combo kits include premium pre-machined hardwood handle scales. Available wood species include Curly Maple, Lacewood, Wenge, and Zebrawood. The pre-machined scales are intentionally oversized and undrilled, allowing builders to sand, shape, contour, and finish them while maintaining complete control over fastener placement and final appearance.
