In modern times, camel bone's functionality has been expanded through the use of dyes and pigments, allowing for a wide range of looks and character beyond its natural ivory tone. Our camel bone materials are naturally harvested, fully dried, and dyed under pressure to ensure complete saturation of the coloring effect throughout the material — not just on the surface. Many of our colorways are also resin stabilized to maximize performance and eliminate warpage over time.
Each handle scale set is individually inspected for conformation, size, and quality before it leaves our shop. Depending on style, the underside of each scale may be flat ground to ensure proper fit-up on the mounting surface, giving you a clean, professional foundation to build from.
