The Arctic Skinner Knife Kit Series delivers a full-size fixed blade platform designed for dependable field performance, clean custom finishing, and practical everyday utility. Centered around a sweeping 5.25" upswept skinner blade and a balanced 10.00" overall length, the Arctic Skinner provides a proven foundation suited for hunting knives, outdoor carry builds, and custom projects built for real-world use.
Each variation in the series shares the same 440C stainless steel blade construction and consistent full tang layout, allowing builders to focus on handle shaping, finishing work, and overall customization while selecting the handle material configuration that best fits the intended final appearance and feel.
Every Arctic Skinner blade is crafted from 0.156" thick 440C stainless steel and features a precision hollow grind with a satin finish for a clean, functional look. Heat treated and cryo-treated to achieve an RC hardness of 56–58, the platform is designed to provide dependable edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability in demanding environments.
The tang is pre-drilled with two 0.187" handle pin holes and one 0.250" thong hole for lanyard or carry configuration options. Stainless steel pinstock is included with every variation, while the tang layout also supports additional customization using mosaic pins or mechanical fasteners if desired.
The series is available both as a blade blank only configuration and as combo kits featuring premium hardwood handle scales. Available scale options include Canarywood, Curly Maple, Lacewood, Purpleheart, Walnut, and Wenge. Select configurations feature pre-machined hardwood scales that provide a faster path toward final assembly while still allowing full freedom for shaping, sanding, drilling, and finish work.
