Apache (USA Damascus) - DIY Knife Kit - (w/Handle Combos)

The Apache Knife Kit Series delivers a compact fixed blade platform designed for dependable field carry, clean custom finishing, and everyday utility performance. Centered around a versatile 3.50" hollow-ground blade and an easy-carry 8.00" overall length, the Apache provides a balanced foundation suited for hunting knives, utility builds, and streamlined custom projects with timeless appeal.

 

Each variation in the series shares the same USA-made Damascus blade construction and proven full tang layout, allowing builders to focus on handle shaping, finishing work, and overall presentation while selecting the handle material configuration that best fits the desired final look and feel.

 

Every Apache blank features a 1.00" wide blade profile and two 0.156" through-holes for handle construction, with stainless steel pinstock included for assembly. The tang holes can also be modified to accommodate larger pins or threaded fasteners, giving builders added flexibility during the customization process.

 

The series is available both as a blade blank only configuration and as combo kits that include premium hardwood handle scales. Available scale options include Bubinga, Canarywood, Curly Maple, Lacewood, Mahogany, Purpleheart, Walnut, and Yellowheart—giving each finished knife its own distinct grain character, color profile, and finished appearance.

 

Every blade in the Apache series is crafted from USA-made layered carbon steel Damascus using a five-fold process that produces 416 total layers. The steel configuration combines 52100, 5160, 203E, and 15N20 to create strong edge performance, dependable durability, and bold pattern contrast throughout the blade surface. Heat treated to 56–58 RC, the Apache platform is built for real-world use while maintaining the visual depth expected from premium Damascus steel.
