HGA-01 :: Horizontal Grinder Attachment
Our attachment is designed to fit the Kalamazoo 1SM 1 x 42 inch grinder and was created to allow the knife maker to grind the outside of the knife frame or body and to achieve those hard-to-produce "scratch lines" that are horizontal with the body. Our unique attachment works best with flat handle materials before it is rounded or shaped to the frame of the knife (this generally keeps the flat handle material perpendicular to the knife frame) and for other precision horizontal grinding applications. The horizontal scratch pattern is the ultimate finish configuration for custom knives and/or precision kit building projects. This is a "must have" tool for those who work for a quality finish. This optional assembly mount will attach to your Kalamazoo grinder's base and your workbench. It allows the grinder to be used in the vertical or horizontal position by moving the entire assembly based on your need. The swing pivot assembly is made from heavy gauge 3/16 steel for safe and reliable use. All hardware is furnished (except the pivot screw for your bench.). Price: US $79.95
