Eastern Skinner

The Eastern Skinner is a modern skinner design that can be built with a full handle treatment. It has a 3 inch high-polish, hollow ground blade of AUS6 stainless steel. The overall length of this model is 7-3/4 inches and includes a full tang design. The blade width is 1-1/16 inches with a thickness of 5/32. This design features 3/32 inch front pinholes for custom bolster designs, or standard .218 inch bolt holes for full handle designs. It also includes a tong tube hole of ¼ inch.

For handle construction, use (3) (.312x.218) handle bolts or (3) 3/16 rods. Also see "Mosaic pins". The thong hole is pre-drilled and is 1/4 diameter.

NOTE: The base Eastern Skinner kit is supplied with epoxy, 5 x 1.5 Cocobolo handle slabs and the Eastern Skinner blade. Handle Pins, Bolts or Thong Hole Tube are optional.
